Kazuaki SAKURA (Chiba Prefecture School Children Badminton Federation Chairman)
There were many participants, so at the latter stages in particular we had to speed up the matches, but the players put in a great effort. We have great expectations that they will show their full abilities as representatives of Chiba prefecture at the national tournament.
It was a splendid atmosphere overall and it seemed that the players approached their matches with great excitement. It made us realize that even a small change can create a more lively atmosphere.

It was the first time for us to see a primary school badminton tournament, but we were really surprised to see intense matches that could put adults to shame. We were of course very impressed by seeing the players working so hard, while we were also pleased that they used our cheering goods (stick balloons) to come together and create an exciting atmosphere.
We wish all the best to the Chiba prefecture representative players for them to play well at the national tournament. We will continue to support badminton!
