Takahiro YOSHIKAWA (Wakayama Prefecture School Children Badminton Federation Executive Director)
Congratulations to all of the players who have become representatives of Wakayama prefecture! Please put in your best effort at the main tournament, including for the players who had competed with you. To the players who unfortunately couldn’t progress to the tournament, please train hard everyday to aim towards next year’s ABC tournament.
I thought the cheering at the tournament was energetic, and there was a positive tension for the children. We managed to really spark the children’s motivation and their interest in badminton. Thank you very much.
- We really felt the passion of the players appearing at the tournament, as well as their families. The sight of them energetically clapping the cheering balloons left a strong impression on us. The children where very happy when we gave sports drinks to them after the matches. We will keep giving a helping hand to make badminton more popular.
