From the Gifu Primary School Badminton Federation
Koji Bito (Chairman of Tokai and Gifu Prefecture Primary School Badminton Federation)
There are 2 players from Gifu representing Japan for the U13 category this year and many other players comparable to them. For that reason and to enhance the overall standards of Gifu prefecture, we are doing our best in the reinforcement guidance. Being the Federation for the children that work and practise very hard for badminton, we want to make the organization one that is much stronger than it is now. We hope to produce players from Gifu prefecture that will play in the Olympics so that the children can hold dreams about it. With Daihatsu becoming the sponsor from this time round, it has been a huge encouragement for both us as a Federation as well as the children that they are backing us up like that.

From the wee hours of the morning, the competitors and their families as well as the instructors and other related parties streamed down to the venue.
At Daihatsu, we provide items such as the stick balloons and sports drinks to people who have come down to support the players. With these support items, the crowd sent generous applause and cheers from the standing seats on the 2nd floor.
Additionally, “Free basic inspection of your car” was carried out at the parking lots adjacent to the tournament venue. The Daihatsu staff inspected the cars of the people who drove in on the day for free. After the tournament, a cleaning activity was also carried out for the surrounding areas of the venue.
