Harumi HINATA (Ibaraki Prefecture School Children Badminton Federation Executive Director)
I hope the players can perform well on the big stage for the national tournament, as they represent the 385 players of the Ibaraki qualifying round as well as themselves as individuals.
The federation chairperson as well as the players and officials are extremely pleased to have been able to interact with Ibaraki Daihatsu Sales Co., Ltd. from our local area through their sponsorship on this occasion.
They thoroughly assisted us from the early morning until the end of the tournament. We at the federation have held tournaments many times, but we were surprised to be praised by the management staff of the gymnasium because there were no lost items or rubbish left behind and the general manners were so good this year.
- This was our first time to participate in the ABC badminton tournament prefectural qualifying rounds. It was refreshing and really fun to connect with all the players. As we saw them seriously focusing on their matches, we were excited by the thought that an Olympic player could emerge from these players.
Ibaraki Daihatsu will continue our support, so to all the players, please do your best!
