Kengo NONOGUCHI (Director, Kumamoto Badminton Association Primary School Subcommittee)
The Daihatsu ABC Badminton National Primary School Tournament had been held in Kumamoto since 2007. Due to the Kumamoto earthquakes in April 2016, it was no longer possible to hold the tournament in Kumamoto so it was held in Saitama prefecture and then in Hokkaido in the following year.
This year it is going to be held in Kumamoto again after 3 years. We will work even harder than before as the management of the tournament. Badminton is also a popular sport in Kumamoto prefecture. We expect amazing performances from the players who won in the prefectural qualifying rounds.

We couldn’t help being mesmerized by the heated contests between the kids.
We were glad to hear the players and the supporters say “I didn’t know about this! It’s great!” about the services we provided on the day.
We are looking forward to DAIHATSU×Badminton spreading all over the country in the future.
