Katsuhiko TAKAHASHI (Director, Mie Badminton Association Primary School Federation)
When I saw the children and their families joyfully responding to the smiles of the Daihatsu staff at the reception, I thought it was great to be able to hold the tournament in this way. The venue had a different atmosphere from before, where the children played with more and more enthusiasm and the cheering voices of their families became louder.
I hope all the representative players can bring out their best performance as they aim towards winning the national tournament, while also being grateful towards the many people who have helped them along the way.
- We thought a primary school badminton tournament would be quite childlike, but we were surprised to see that their level was higher than we imagined. I also have some experience of badminton, but I was surprised to see so many family members who came to see the games. We were very pleased that the drinks and cheering goods we distributed to the players and families were appreciated. We would like to continue our support so that badminton can thrive even more in the future!
