Fumio ENJOZI (Director, Saga Badminton Association Primary School Subcommittee)
I think the families of the players were more highly invested compared to the previous qualifying tournaments. It was more lively and exciting. The more times they come to cheer, the better they get at it.
The primary school subcommittee's main aim is to increase the number of competitors, so we hope that the tournament becomes major and that we can heighten the awareness of the students and their family members.

It was the first time for us to see badminton matches, as well as a primary school tournament. It was impressive to see some extended rallies in the upper grades which made a lot of the matches quite entertaining. The players put in so much effort because the games had qualification to the national tournament at stake. Their clubs and parents passionately cheered for them, it still wasn’t over even after the finishing time but they kept on telling the players to give everything they had.
It is exciting to think that future international players might be among these students. We will continue to give our support.
