The DAIHATSU YONEX Japan Open 2022, the 39th edition of the event, was held in Osaka for the first time in 35 years at the Maruzen Intec Arena Osaka (Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium) from Tuesday, 30th August to Sunday, 4th September, 2022.
The event is a Super 750 international tournament, which is a BWF Grade 2 tournament just below the Tour Finals and Super 1000, and was held for the first one in three years following the COVID-19 pandemic.
