The 37th Japan Open is one of the world’s premier badminton tournaments featuring around 250 outstanding players who are ranked within the top 32 in the world.
This year the level of the tournament was raised to BWF World Tour “Super 750”, while the amount of prize money has increased substantially to 700,000 US Dollars. The venue has also moved to the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza, which will be the venue for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The tournament will be a huge stage for the players fiercely competing towards the goal to play at the Olympics.
